IN PROGRESS: Models Posed for Me (And My Silly Little Camera Phone)

Walking home from the Olek crochet installation in Soho, we rounded a corner onto Broome Street and found ourselves approaching a sparsely attended fashion show. A dance club version of the musty Scott McKenzie hit "San Francisco" blared as we gaped at model after model hiking one towering heel and onto a wooden block and holding poses like Greek statues.

They all grimly filed out of the same Broome Street boutique: was this an over-the-top promotion for a store no bigger than your suburban bathroom?

Rereading: The next novel for my Marginal Mormon Lit blog: http://marginalmormonlit.wordpress.com/. This one's about a vampire who moves to Sandy, Utah, and is befriended by the Bishop's wife.
